National Margarita Day

It is finally here!

Happy National Margarita Day!

What a great day to celebrate and drink some margaritas.

I sure did like that Cranberry Margarita I made last night.......might have to make it or one of these other yummy margaritas tonight.

I have put together a Round-Up of all of the margaritas I have made on my blog so far......I say so far, because I plan on making many many more in the future!

Here they are, choose wisely....or don't.  Shoot.......choose a few I say!

 3.   Mango Margarita

 5.   Kinky Margarita

 7.   Peach Margarita

 9.   Moon-a-rita

Sorry I know this looks lame with #13 down here....it's just that I discovered that I had forgotten it WAY after I made the above collage.  I did include it in this post though, so that's a good thing!

There you have it, 13 different varieties of margaritas that you can try on National Margarita Day!  Enjoy!

Cheers!!

Cranberry Margarita

Tomorrow is National Margarita Day!

February 22nd to be exact.

Kind of snuck up on me.  I wanted to try a few different flavored margaritas before the actual day to share with you all, but I guess one new will do for now.

So....Happy National Margarita Day.......tomorrow!!

Have I mentioned that it's Friday yet?

Well it is!

Thank goodness......I am glad to get this week out of the way.

This margarita is one I have not heard of before.  The proportions are good and this margarita does not have an overwhelming tequila flavor (which I am thankful for).

I found this recipe from Ali over at Gimme Some Oven.  It looked good and I had to try it.

I still do want to try other flavors.......I am thinking of trying to create a banana margarita.  I do love the flavor of bananas in my cocktails...hopefully it will turn out good.

Do you have any amazing margarita recipes to share?

I would love to hear about and try them.  I look forward to your recipes!

Here is the recipe for a Cranberry Margarita:

  • 1 1/2 ounces cranberry cocktail juice
  • 3/4 ounce lime juice
  • 3/4 ounce silver tequila
  • 1/2 ounce triple sec

In a shaker, add all of your ingredients, top off with a handful of ice and gently shake.  You want to mix your ingredients, but not shrink the ice cubes.  Dump everything into a short cocktail glass and enjoy!

Happy Friday to you all, I sure know I'm glad it's Friday!

Cheers!!

Butternut Rum Lifesaver

Is it Friday yet?  Another long...short week.  Our oldest had Monday off for Presidents Day, our second oldest had last Friday as well as Monday off.  These shorter weeks are always screwing me up.  I never know what day it is, I ALWAYS feel like I'm forgetting something and then the weeks over.

Our daughters birthday party was a success last weekend.  We made our own Frozen decorations.......which if I do say so myself.....pretty much rocked.

They weren't anything snazzy, but we made them which makes them THAT much more special.

Baseball is in full swing (total pun intended there), our oldest is trying out for the Frosh/Soph baseball team at his high school.  All of the students trying out play together until the regular league season games start, which is when they make their final cuts from the team.

He missed the first week and a half of tryouts due to playing on the Freshman basketball team, but he did get 5 days of tryouts in before their first scrimmage on Tuesday.

He was the lead off hitter and played infield the entire game.

First non-league game is Tuesday and the first league game is Friday.....so I guess we'll find out for sure if he's on the team by Friday.

It has been a while since I have made a cocktail (shocking I know).

I have been so busy with lots of other little things that have diverted my time.....but I decided that today is a day for a shooter.

I found this one at Food.com and knew I had to try it.

GLAD I did!

Giving this one 5 shots out of 5 for sure.

This little shooter tastes like a Butternut Rum Lifesaver for sure!  It is quite delicious and that whipped cream on the top adds the perfect finishing touch.

This is a shooter you should try for sure.

Here is a photo of the end result:

Lifesaver, Baileys, Irish cream liqueur, butterscotch schnapps, Malibu rum, coconut rum, pineapple juice

Valentine Round Up

Valentine's Day is only 5 days away.

This is going to be a busy week....and it is not because of Valentine's Day.

This week one of our sons will be going on a school trip for a couple nights, we have a birthday girl turning 5 on Thursday and then a party to throw this weekend.

I think I will be an emotional mess between missing my son and come to grips with the fact that our daughter is turning 5 and will be starting kindergarten (does anyone else try to spell kindergarten with a "d"?  or is it just me?) in the fall (already registered her....that was crazy).

Oh did I mention that we have a spring sports parent meeting one night this week as well as our oldest's last basketball game?

No?

Well there it is......a lot going on this week.

I figured that although I have a cocktail that I found that sounds delicious and I want to make it and share it with you guys........I don't know if I will have time this week.

Therefore, I want to give you my Valentine Round Up so that you can choose which cocktail/s you will be enjoying on Valentine's Day.

Even better, I think you should try a few different ones leading up to Friday so that you know exactly which one/s you want to consume on Friday!

Here is my breakdown of the Valentine cocktails I have made so far:

There you have it.  All 11 cocktails that I have made so far on my blog.  I hope you try some and enjoy them!  I would love to hear what you thought if you did try one.

Here is to another cocktail round up!

Cheers!
